an orientation session was conducted at the New Ashok Nagar Training Centre for trainees who had completed their courses in AC & Refrigerator servicing and Hair Styling. The session, led by Shri Vijender Ji, focused on guiding participants through the process of becoming a service partner with Urban Company, a leading platform offering home services across India.
The session saw the participation of 40 trainees. Shri Vijender Ji explained the step-by-step process of joining Urban Company, from mobile app registration to completing the onboarding procedures. He also answered the trainees’ questions, addressing their doubts about registration, training, service charges, and job assignments.
To begin the process, candidates must first download the “Urban Company Partner” mobile application and register themselves. After registration, the company calls candidates for an interview at its office in Noida, Sector 16A. On clearing the interview, trainees attend a seven-day training program that covers app usage, customer service techniques, and professional conduct.
Urban Company charges a 10% commission per service lead. After successful completion of training, the company provides partners with essential tools such as a gauge meter and a tool kit bag. To formally start working, a security deposit of ₹10,000 is required.
This orientation was part of Samarth Bharat’s ongoing efforts to help its trainees transition from training to employment.
